2014 NZ Ice Cream Awards
The 18th New Zealand Ice Cream Awards were announced Thursday 22nd of May, at the Awards Dinner held in conjunction with The New Zealand Ice Cream Manufacturers’ Association’s Annual Conference in Blenheim.
This year there was a total of 302 entries. The Chief Judge Kay McMath and her team of seven judges took two full days to judge the entries. They used International judging guidelines with each ice cream, starting off with 100 points from which points are deducted due to various imperfections such as appearance defects, body and texture, flavour defects and melting defects.
