No trip to the Māpua Wharf would be complete without a real fruit ice cream from Hamish's. 

Named after the wharf’s long term resident white heron the friendly cafe offers a choice of over 20 flavours of ice cream, including real fruit concoctions using locally grown berries. Its outdoor seating extends towards the water where visitors can sit and enjoy lunches, burgers or freshly made ice creams.
