What a wonderful evening we had celebrating Aotearoa's finest at the 25th NZ Ice Cream & Gelato Awards Dinner!

Congratulations to all the category winners and to the two Supreme Champions: Americold Supreme Champion; Kāpiti Fig & Manuka Honey and Formula Foods; Supreme Boutique Champion; Little ‘Lato, Speculoos Gelato.

Island Gelato in Ponsonby

Earlier this year Island Gelato added a new store in Ponsonby Road. Whatever the weather, it's the perfect city stop with a seating area, and an awesome selection of gelato. Island Gelato has five locations; the original Waiheke Island store, the new Ponsonby store and shops in Westfeld Newmarket, the Auckland Ferry Building and Mission Bay.

Patagonia celebrates 10 years

Patagonia Chocolates is celebrating the 10th anniversary of their Wanaka Cafe as well as 10 years of roasting Patagonia Chocolates own unique blend of coffee. Patagonia has four outlets in the southern lakes; Queenstown, Queenstown Airport, Arrowtown and Wanaka (pictured above). 

Little 'Lato Collabs

Something hot and cold?  Little ‘Lato has launched two new products following two new collabs. Working with Lucky Taco they have created a Mexican Hot Chocolate Gelato. In partnership with Mummy’s Yummys they have made a Ginger Slice Gelato. Both are available at Farro Fresh and Little ‘Lato parlours.

Here's one for the innovation with ice cream file. Wilson Barbecue's dessert 'The Boozy BBQ' was a finalist in the recent best Wellington on a Plate dish. It was a tasty blend of smoked rum hard shake with caramel cream, Kāpiti vanilla bean ice cream and caramelised bacon bits, all accompanied by bacon fries!
